I have just read "The Dead Hand...."I am the remainderman of a decased estate in which my father's 2nd wife has a life interest in the unit.I live in victoria. Can you recommend a layer/firm who specialise in this area of family planning in Melb? She appears to have left the unit and gone into a nursing home and her son has enduring power of atorney. If she has property investments in her own name, would she still have the right to maybe lease or sell the unit to fund her retirement home care?
Sincerely
Michael Dorembus
P.s. She has lived in the unit for the last 17 years
