Legal Assistant
We are a legal company based in the CBD and are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to provide effective and efficient support to practitioners in the firm's Commercial Litigation practice, to achieve a well run, organised and streamlined practice.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Audio / digital dictation
- Draft routine correspondence as required
- Maintain filing system and retrieval of documents
- Production of accurate documents
- Preparation of non precedent forms and documentation
- Open and close files
- Electronic diary management
- Preparation of mail for posting / courier
Essential experience & skills:
- Proven experience in a legal assistant position within a law firm
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Minimum typing speed of 65wpm with 96% accuracy
Desirable experience & skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of document management and time billing systems
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work under pressure.
