Experience

Anthony brings to Talbot Olivier unique corporate experience, having worked for the past 15 years as an executive in the oil and gas industry. He has played a key role in the formation of numerous privately owned and publicly listed companies and has hands on experience as the Managing Director of a listed company. 

Anthony has advised on national and international capital raising, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions through his exposure to a diverse range of development opportunities, working with technical teams primarily in the energy, energy equipment and resources sector throughout the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Canada and the USA. 

He also possesses an in-depth understanding of intellectual property and its commercialisation, having developed and maintained protective strategies for companies working in the motor vehicle and oil equipment industries around the world. 

Career highlights

• Formed an ASX listed company that raised funds to develop a project based on unique oil field technology. As a key member of their executive management team, Anthony developed and managed the company's intellectual property worldwide, facilitated funding of the project through listing on the stock exchange and was an integral part of the team that introduced and developed distribution networks for the product in all major world markets.
• Formed NorthSun Energy Ltd, an oil company targeting Po Valley gas assets in Northern Italy. An opportunity resulting from changes to rules governing monopolies had forced AGIP, an Italian oil and gas giant, to relinquish much of its monopoly there and allowed the company to take a strategic position. This was developed into an asset package which was rolled into Po Valley Energy Limited and was listed on the ASX   (ASX:"PVE").
• Played an integral role in assisting an investment banking group to achieve the first ever simultaneous listing of a resources company on the ASX and AIM, which went from a market capitalisation of $28 million to as high as $700 million as it developed a significant acreage position throughout Africa.
• Anthony was Managing Director and CEO of an ASX listed oil company for four years and presided over the development and growth of the company's Californian assets into one of the largest acreage positions held by any foreign oil and gas company in California.
• Extensive experience as a Director and Managing Director of public companies which included dealing with financing, ASX and ASIC compliance , fiduciary duties and  disclosure obligations.  

Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Juris Prudence.
